Producer: Mani Ratnam
Star Cast: Shraddha Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah
PLOT
- It revolves around the life of two career-focussed youngsters Adi (Aditya Roy) and Tara (Shraddha Kapoor), who develop love-interest for each other.
- While Adi is a game-developer, Tara wants to pursue architecture in Paris. Both meet each other at a railway station.
- Given their career plans, they prefer to be in relationship than to marry.
- They even try to convince an elderly couple (played by Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson) to live as per this juvenile notion.
- How they are able to pursue their goals, is what actually one has to watch.
THUMBS UP
- The movie has an easy-going plot, with least scope for emotional tragedy. This gives us a brisk go while watching the film.
- Aditya Roy’s real-life calm personality has won him enough chance to do justice to his role in the film. Same is for Shraddha, who manages to gain limelight with her charming looks.
- The brainy dialogues penned by Gulzar just lingers the viewers to stay tuned to the movie.
- Music by A.R. Rahman is just awesome as ever.
THUMBS DOWN
- The emotional scenes involving Aditya and Shraddha that demand warmth in the character, lack effective strength.
- The Humma-Humma track has gone below the expectations of the viewers. It lacks melody, and is a bit noisy.
JUDGEMENTS
OK Jaanu, on ethical grounds, may lack sensibility, as it focusses on childish notion of live-in relationships. This may convey a negative sense towards marriage in society.
