The pairing of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt seems to be working wonders at the box-office yet again. According to trade experts, the film minted over Rs 55 cr at the box-office four days post its release.

Both Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, who debuted with ‘Student Of The Year’, last starred together in the 2014 hit, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’.
‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is courting box-office success despite Holi festivities. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s two previous silver screen outings, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Student of The Year’ collected Rs 33.74 crore and Rs 30 crore respectively in the first weekend.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the following regarding the film’s box-office collections, “#BadrinathKiDulhania has a SUPERB Mon… Crosses â¹ 55 cr… Fri 12.25 cr, Sat 14.75 cr, Sun 16.05 cr, Mon 12.08 cr. Total: Rs 55.13 cr.”
He further tweeted, “#BadrinathKiDulhania Fri 12.25 cr, Sat 14.75 cr, Sun 16.05 cr. Total: Rs 43.05 cr. India biz. EXCELLENT!”
‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ collected RS 12.25 crore on Friday, Rs 14.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 16.05 crore on Sunday, making it a total of Rs 43.05 crore last week.
The film has the honour of being the fourth highest opening weekend grosser of 2017 after Raees (93.24 crore), Kaabil (Rs. 67.46 cr) and Jolly LLB 2 (Rs. 50.46 crore).

‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is Alia Bhatt’s biggest opening weekend grosser, with an early film, ‘2 States’ being the only one to come closer to the former with a collection of Rs 37.62 crore. For Varun Dhawan, the film is his third highest weekend grosser after ‘Dilwale’ (Rs. 64.09 crore) and ‘ABCD – Any Body Can Dance 2’ (Rs. 46.35 crore).
