Baahubali 2
The editing room of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali 2’ is on lockdown following two major leaks over the last five months. In the first incident last November, a five-minute war footage found its way online, for which a trainee graphics designer was later. More recently, the film’s trailer was leaked hours before its grand launch.
Now, apart from Rajamouli and producer Shobu Yarlagadda, only five trusted crew members are allowed in the building where the raw footage of ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ is being edited. The film is in the last leg of shoot and the filmmaker has ensured that the editing happens simultaneously.
A unit hand, on the condition of anonymity, informs, “The editing room is under CCTV surveillance while the security guard makes sure no one leaves the building without proper checking. On most days, Rajamouli personally sits with the editing team. Even the actors have been asked not to discuss anything about the movie outside.”
In the climax scene of part 1, the audience was baffled over Kattappa (Sathyaraj) killing Baahubali (Prabhas) and the makers want the audience to unlock the mystery behind it only in the theatres later next month.
Producer Shobu and Rajamouli remained unavailable but the film’s spokesperson confirms the news, saying, “Every possible safety measure is being taken to keep the answer to ‘why Kattapa killed Baahubali’ a secret. Rajamouli is personally keeping track of everything. After the watching the trailer of part 2, the excitement among the audience has soared. Plus, the movie’s release is just a few days away, so it is important that the secret doesn’t leak.”
